Job description

Yamaha is seeking aSenior Manager, Infrastructure & Evolution for our office in Marietta, GA. The Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Evolution is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and modernization of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.'s infrastructure landscape. This role oversees data center migration, cloud transformation, and hybrid infrastructure operations, ensuring stability of current environments while driving future-state architecture. This leader combines technical depth with strong people leadership, enabling transformation while maintaining operational excellence, resiliency, and alignment to business priorities.

This role operates with a high degree of autonomy in defining infrastructure strategy, executing transformation initiatives, and managing operational standards. The position is accountable for decisions impacting architecture, investments, risk posture, and delivery outcomes, in alignment with ISD leadership.

Whatyou'llbe doing:

  • Data Center Migration Leadership - Lead planning and execution of data center migrations, including workload assessments, dependency mapping, risk mitigation, and cutover strategies.
  • Operational Stability & Resilience- Ensure high availability and performance across infrastructure services; strengthen disaster recovery, business continuity, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Infrastructure Engineering & Lifecycle Management - Oversee compute, storage, network, and platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, capacity planning, and technical debt reduction.
  • Stakeholder & Executive Engagement - Partner with business leaders, ISD leadership, and PMO to align infrastructure initiatives with enterprise priorities and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • People Leadership & Talent Development - Lead and develop a high-performing team; foster a people-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor & Partner Management - Strategically oversee vendors and partners to ensure service quality, accountability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Automation - Drive standardization, automation, and operational maturity improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive transformation and influence stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure and modernization strategies
  • Ability to balance operational stability with transformation execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-aware mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting
  • Proven ability to build and lead engaged, high-performing teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center, or cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and managers.
  • Proven experience leading data center migrations and/or cloud transformations.
  • Hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
  • Networking, compute, storage, and virtualization.
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
