Sea Fox Boat Company is searching for a skilled Marine/Boat Capper to join our boat manufacturing team. The Capper is a critical role in the production process, responsible for permanently joining the hull and deck assemblies to create a strong, durable, and finished vessel.
The ideal candidate has experience in boat building, fiberglass manufacturing, hull and deck assembly, marine rigging, or composite construction and understands the importance of precision, quality, and craftsmanship.

What You'll Do
As a Marine Capper, you will:
  • Perform hull and deck assembly operations according to Sea Fox production standards.
  • Prepare bonding surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and structural integrity.
  • Apply marine-grade adhesives, sealants, and bonding materials.
  • Align and fit hull and deck components with precision.
  • Install fasteners, backing plates, and structural components as required.
  • Ensure proper fit, finish, and sealing of hull-to-deck connections.
  • Perform inspections throughout the capping process to identify quality issues.
  • Complete adjustments and corrections to meet Sea Fox quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and marine-specific equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Work closely with Lamination, Rigging, and Production teams to keep boats moving through the manufacturing process.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in marine manufacturing or boat building.
  • Experience with hull and deck assembly, fiberglass boats, composites, or marine construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of marine adhesives, sealants, bonding techniques, and fiberglass processes.
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot fit, alignment, and assembly issues.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in confined areas of boats.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass, resins, adhesives, and other marine production materials.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as production schedules require.
