Team Coach Job Posting:ย Developmental, Xcel & Advanced Tumbling Coach

Location:ย Excel Gymnastics โ€“ Clovis, CA
Position Type:ย Part-Time or Full-Time (based on experience)

Excel Gymnastics is growing, and we are looking for coaches who value strong fundamentals, athlete development, and a positive team culture.

We are currently hiring for a Developmental Coach, an Xcel Team Coach, and an Advanced Tumbling Coach.

About the Role

This position involves coaching athletes in a positive, structured, and athlete-centered environment. Whether youโ€™re leading developmental athletes through foundational progressions or helping advanced tumblers safely level up their skills, youโ€™ll play an important role in shaping the athlete experience every day.

Responsibilities

  • Coach assigned developmental, Xcel, or tumbling groups
  • Create lesson plans focused on skill progression and safety
  • Provide positive, constructive feedback to athletes
  • Prepare athletes for competitions and team events (team coaches)
  • Safely spot and progress advanced tumbling skills (tumbling coach)
  • Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and staff
  • Support a team-first, respectful gym culture

Qualifications

  • Previous gymnastics or tumbling coaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals and progressions
  • For tumbling coach: ability to safely spot advanced skills, including up to full twisting layouts (fulls)
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability
  • Ability to manage groups of athletes and maintain structure
  • Safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
