Job Description Summary

Wycliffe Bible Translators is dedicated to translating and delivering Scripture to people around the world in a language and form they understand best. Use your skills and experience to serve Bible translation and see God's Word impact people around the world. We need people with all kinds of skills, from accountants to mechanics to managers to teachers to administrative assistants, and who can serve for a year to a lifetime. As a member of a faith-based religious organization, you will develop a partnership team of family, friends, and churches who will pray for you, encourage you, and financially support you.
Our vision is for people from every language to understand the Bible and be transformed, therefore our mission is to serve with the global body of Christ to advance Bible translation and work together so people can encounter God through his Word. Join us and let's change lives together!

Job Description

This is a supported staff position and you will raise funds to cover your salary. Wycliffe is a faith mission, meaning that members trust God to supply needed funds and support through family, friends, and churches. We call this partnership development - developing a team of people who will pray for you, encourage you, and financially support you. There is no salary or stipend other than the contributions sent in for your ministry. Wycliffe provides training to help with partnership development (PD) and you will work with a PD coach until your financial goal is met. The amount needed varies by assignment and location.

Member Responsibilities:The following responsibilities apply to any employee who is also a member of the religious organization:

Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Demonstrates desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation.

  • Partnership Development: Build and retain a team of prayer and financial partners that will sustain them during their entire Wycliffe ministry according to the Wycliffe Partnership Development policy.
  • Organizational Representative - Present the global ministry of Wycliffe and encourage interested individuals and churches to participate in this work. Maintain an exemplary standard of ethics and conduct that reflects biblical principles.
