Position OverviewAs a Proposal Writer, you’ll help Imperial win new work by developing clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that showcase our experience and capabilities.
Working closely with Marketing, Preconstruction, Operations, and executive leadership, you’ll coordinate multiple pursuits, manage proposal schedules, edit technical content, and deliver polished submissions that reflect Imperial’s commitment to quality.

What You’ll Do     ✔   Write and assemble proposal documents
     ✔   Develop executive summaries, cover letters, and proposal narratives
     ✔   Edit technical content for clarity, consistency, and readability
     ✔   Review solicitation documents for compliance requirements
     ✔   Perform final QA/QC reviews before submission
     ✔   Coordinate proposal schedules across multiple departments
     ✔   Work with Marketing to incorporate graphics and branding
     ✔   Maintain proposal content libraries and reusable materials
     ✔   Track proposal activity and recommend process improvements
     ✔   Support interview presentations and other marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking For
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • We recognize that exceptional proposal writers come from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds. Candidates with strong, demonstrated experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience & Skills
  • Three to five years of proposal writing, technical writing, marketing, or related experience preferred
  • Experience coordinating complex, deadline-driven documents involving multiple contributors
  • Commercial construction, architecture, engineering, or professional services experience strongly preferred
  • Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
