Brand-New Dealership Coming Soon!
Kia of Lincoln is on the lookout for a detail-loving, people-first Service Writer to join our growing team! If you're great with customers, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can translate "my car is making a weird noise" into something technicians understand-you might be our perfect fit.
As a Service Writer, you'll be the friendly face and clear communicator between our customers and our service department, keeping things running smoothly from check-in to check-out.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Greet customers with confidence, positivity, and a genuine desire to help
  • Listen carefully and gather details about vehicle concerns (even the vague ones)
  • Create clear, accurate service orders for our technicians
  • Communicate service recommendations, timelines, and estimates in a way customers actually understand
  • Coordinate schedules to keep the shop moving efficiently
  • Keep detailed records of services and customer interactions in our system
  • Follow up with customers to ensure everything was handled right
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Service Writer or in customer service (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills-you're comfortable talking to everyone
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Attention to detail (the little things matter here!)
  • Basic automotive knowledge is a plus-but we can train the right person
  • Comfort using computers and dealership software
