Job description

Overview

The Project Controller II facilitates support of the Project Team through monitoring financial information related to projects/programs within an assigned Region or Division and collects, monitors and analyzes project budgets and cost allocations. This role also performs financial analysis and prepares various status and assessment reports, charts and tables on a recurrent basis.
This Project Controller II will understand the major business components and implications specific to accounting for Construction Companies and support the principles of Henkels & McCoy’s Project Management Methodology (PMM).


Responsibilities

Under general guidance, the Project Controller II supports the Project Team by collecting, validating, tracking and reviewing financial information related to cost measurement, customer billings, accounts payables, payroll entries, and fleet and equipment utilization. Responsibilities also include research of payable transaction issues and assistance in implementing improvements.
The Project Controller II aids in ensuring that team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and congruent with the company's strategy. The ideal candidate will lead by example in an environment that fosters trust and candor, will maintain personal accountability, and communicate assertively and constructively with the client group and team members.


Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of financial tools, general accounting principles, and ability to master H&M systems (WOS and PENTA)
  • Experienced in accounting, contract administration, or project management
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret data/ statistical information
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Successful completion of at least one ESI PM online course
  • Broad problem-solving skills
Minimum Educational Background:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, related field; or equivalent experience
 
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:
2-5
Qualifications:
