Description

Field Engineer responsibilities primarily include traveling to field locations to conduct various operations

on clients' oil and gas wells. The candidate will work a rotational schedule to shadow experienced WOS

specialists to gain hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and safe practices. At the discretion of

both the candidate and WOS, the candidate can transition to an office-based role with duties including

tool design, performance analysis, prototype development, and project management. To be successful in

this role, the candidate should be comfortable with learning new tasks and working independently with

high attention to detail.


Roles and Responsibilities

  •  Learn WOS field operation procedures in the areas of frac plug drillouts, setting/pulling downhole plugs, flowback, casing cleanouts and milling, and fishing
  • Execute field operations independently once fully trained
  •  Work in a rotational schedule while traveling between shop and field locations as needed by customer requirements
  • Promote a culture of superior service quality to support customer needs and relations
  • Contribute to a multifaceted team to deliver superior service quality to customers
  • Anticipate issues and assertively solve problems
  • Identify areas of improvement in operations and offer solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to learn new skills and execute with high attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and to lift and carry up to 35lbs
  • Mechanical aptitude is highly preferred
  • Rotational work schedule with travel to field locations and flexibility for time off
  • Safe operation of motor vehicles and comfortability around large equipment
