A Typical Day
The Maintenance Planner is responsible the planning and scheduling of work requests along with scheduled preventive and predictive work orders. Ensure that all resources necessary to complete the daily work schedules are organized and available. Create and refine BOM's task instruction, stage materials for oncoming shifts.
Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and address PMs that have Direct Purchase Materials and order in advance to ensure that parts are on hand when the PM needs to be scheduled.
  • Create accurate work packages and job plans. Identify critical spare parts and quantities.
  • Support good flow of process for Work Request and WOs.
  • Validate work packages and task instructions for accuracy.
  • Lead Daily Approval Meetings.
  • Build Schedules with information gathered at Daily Approval Meetings and e-mail to the groups.
  • Visit equipment in field as needed to gather information.
  • Process all repair parts notices for Internal Repair items moving through the established site processes.
  • Assist the Store Room in investigation and confirmation of parts with questions and coordinate with Maintenance Teams.
  • Review WOs in Awaiting Direct Purchase and or Awaiting Vendor Availability weekly to ensure accuracy of status and update Comments on the WOs.
  • Research parts needed for corrective and planned WOs
  • Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.
  • Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC's food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Hold self and others accountable to HCC's food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
  • Participate in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times.
  • Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.
  • Participate in departmental safety teams.

  • Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments.

What You Will Need
  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • 3 years' experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts (days/Swings/graveyard).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of how to operate a forklift.
  • SAP knowledge
