Job description

WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean constructions, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches to enable breakthroughs in performance.

We are seeking two experienced Base Build Superintendents to join our growing team supporting a major semiconductor construction project in Manassas, Virginia. This role is ideal for field leaders with experience managing large scale industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, mission critical, or complex MEP construction environments.

Preferred candidates will have demonstrated success overseeing base build scope, coordinating trade partners, driving safety and schedule performance, and supporting fast moving construction execution in technically complex facilities.

We are prioritizing candidates who can mobilize quickly. Per diem and mobilization packages are available for qualified candidates.

This is an onsite position in Manassas, VA. Candidates must be local, open to relocation, or able to support the project onsite through an approved per diem arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily field construction activities to ensure alignment with project goals for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead base build construction execution across large scale semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or mission critical project scopes.
  • Coordinate field activities across CSA, MEP, process utility, cleanroom, and specialty trade partners as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise multiple phases of construction from field mobilization through construction, commissioning support, turnover, and closeout.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal project teams, subcontractors, trade partners, client representatives, and site stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, constraints, manpower needs, schedule risks, and field priorities clearly to project leadership.
  • Support project schedules, look ahead planning, work sequencing, manpower coordination, and trade coordination meetings.
  • Track progress, identify field issues early, and help drive solutions that maintain safety, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Prepare daily reports, field documentation, progress updates, and issue logs.
  • Collaborate with construction management, engineering, quality, safety, commissioning, and facilities teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across all field activities.

 Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of construction experience in large scale industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, mission critical, or complex MEP environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of superintendent, field leadership, or construction supervision experience.
  • Base build construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Semiconductor, microelectronics, cleanroom, fab, subfab, data center, pharmaceutical, battery manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing project experience preferred.
  • Experience working directly with a general contractor, construction management firm, EPCM firm, or major mechanical, electrical, or specialty subcontractor.
  • Strong field coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and shifting project priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, construction documents, and field execution plans.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across project teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common construction management tools, Microsoft Office, and field reporting systems.
  • Familiarity with lean construction practices, look ahead planning, pull planning, or constraint management preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 required. OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite full time in Manassas, VA.
  • Ability to mobilize quickly strongly preferred.

 Education

  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent field leadership experience will be considered in place of degree requirements.
