Job description

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring daily activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer requirements. This position oversees staffing, inventory control, fulfillment activities, process improvement initiatives, and operational performance. The role partners closely with leadership, quality, engineering, and customer service teams to drive productivity, improve service levels, and support business growth.



Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
  • Lead supervisors and hourly staff, providing coaching, support, and performance feedback
  • Develop staffing and labor plans to meet business demands while maintaining productivity goals
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions when performance falls below expectations
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective warehouse processes and controls
  • Maintain compliance with established quality standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements
  • Work with internal teams to improve workflows, optimize warehouse layouts, and increase operational efficiency
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve service issues and maintain strong relationships
  • Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development efforts
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and results



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations management experience
  • Experience leading supervisors and hourly teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and fulfillment processes
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and operational reporting
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skill
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred


Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse and distribution environment and requires regular interaction with warehouse associates, equipment, and operational teams. Occasional lifting and movement throughout the facility may be required.
