Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in the identification and resolution of problems (Level 3 support) utilizing structured troubleshooting tools and techniques. Participate in the 24/7 on-call team for level 3 escalations from the level 2 24/7 on-call staff or management. Lead decision to escalate to vendor, engineering, and app teams.
• Lead maintenance (upgrades, patching, and configuration changes) of the primary platforms and associated technologies (such as agent software, monitoring/alerting tooling, binary repositories such as Artifactory, etc.)
• Lead efforts to create the continuous delivery automation using BladeLogic and UrbanCode to support the Software Delivery Automation project, allowing for automated deployment of software to application servers, and for other currently manual methods of distribution.
• Review and optimize operational metrics and SLAs pertaining to responsible technologies to drive automation and process efficiencies.
• Partner with engineering teams, service owners, external vendors, operational resources, application development teams, and business partners to drive and enhance the automation and deployment/distribution platforms.
Required Experience:
• 5+ years of experience working in a lead technical/infrastructural role within a large corporate environment, with specific experience with BMC BladeLogic and/or IBM Urban Code Deploy.
• 5+ years of experience leading and executing multiple complex, cross-functional projects.
• 3+ years of experience leading and executing automation of software delivery/distribution processes.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems.
This position will require a government approved background screening that verifies US citizenship, education, negative criminal history and egregious financial history.
Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and/or software development experience
• Experience in a technical/infrastructural role with SCCM, Adaptiva, Flexera products, Artifactory, and/or other similar platforms such as Puppet and Chef.
• Experience with Mac OS X and / or mobile environments (iOS, Android)
• Working knowledge of all application and infrastructural components, including application design patterns.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer relationship skills. Strong analytical and documentation skills.
