Job description

Job Description
You will be a full stack developer on a team focused on web applications that support internal and external RBC users. This role supports the modernization and enhancement of enterprise platforms using multiple technologies.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that are relied upon by RBC employees and customers.
What You Will Do
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks
  • Perform technical analysis and solution design; contribute to Jira story creation, estimation, and delivery
  • Collaborate with peers to develop code in line with strategic initiatives, as well as develop, troubleshoot, enhance, and document components to meet the needs of user requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, well-defined user stories and technical designs
  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade applications, including:
    • .NET-based applications
    • Angular Web applications
    • Cloud-native and microservices-based solutions
    • SQL Server and other relational database platforms.
  • Deliver solutions using Agile methodologies through CI/CD pipelines and other deployment solutions
  • Lead and contribute to end-to-end software development activities including:
    • Architecture and design
    • Coding and code reviews
    • Unit and integration testing
    • Deployment and release management
  • Conduct thorough unit/integration testing, often developing and leveraging automated testing frameworks, and improve performance of functions through performance tuning.
  • Estimate activities/tasks required to perform design, coding, and unit testing.
  • Be part of the developer's community, participate in the continuous improvement and best practices.

What do you need to succeed?
Must have
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development using:
    • .NET Core
    • Angular
    • JavaScript
    • SQL
  • Strong experience designing and integrating APIs
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated unit testing
  • Cloud platform experience, including:
  • OpenShift / containerized platforms

Nice to have
  • Wealth Management / Wealth Management applications knowledge
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security, and model governance
  • Security vulnerability assessment and resolution to meet secure coding standards

The expected salary range for this particular position is $80,000-$140,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
