Job Description

The Workforce Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, forecasting, scheduling, and optimization of labor resources across designated departments at Wynn Las Vegas. This role ensures staffing levels align with business demands while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency, guest service excellence, and cost control.

The Specialist partners with operational leaders to analyze workforce data, develop schedules, and provide insights that drive productivity and optimize labor performance across the resort.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Forecasting

  • Analyze historical trends, business volumes, and operational forecasts to support accurate labor planning.
  • Assist in developing staffing models that align with business needs and service standards.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and seasonal demand patterns to identify staffing opportunities and risks.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.

Scheduling & Optimization

  • Create and maintain employee schedules in alignment with forecasted demand, labor budgets, and operational priorities.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of shifts while maintaining compliance with company policies and labor guidelines.
  • Adjust schedules in real-time based on business fluctuations and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with department managers to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize coverage.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate and analyze reports related to labor utilization, staffing efficiency, productivity, and scheduling adherence.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on workforce data analysis.
  • Track key performance indicators such as labor cost percentage, overtime usage, and staffing variances.
  • Support reporting needs by collecting data, establishing facts, and interpreting workforce data trends.

Operational Support

  • Act as a liaison between Workforce Management and operational teams to ensure effective communication and execution of labor strategies.
  • Support departments in managing staffing priorities while maintaining high levels of service and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in addressing workforce-related challenges in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, labor regulations, and scheduling standards.
  • Maintain accurate workforce records, scheduling data, and system inputs.
  • Support system administration related to workforce management tools (e.g., scheduling systems, timekeeping platforms).
  • Promote safe and compliant work practices in alignment with Wynn standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in workforce management, scheduling, operations, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume, luxury resort, casino, or service-driven environment strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); experience with workforce management systems - Virtual Roster and Kronos is preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Must be fluent in English and the ability to communicate in a second language is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
