Job description

The Global Workforce Communication teamis seeking a talented,energetic self-starter to join our team and helpengage Church employees and service missionaries by providing professional internal communications. 

In this position you will report to the Global Workforce Communications Manager and will be expected to assist with a wide variety of communications activities. 

This is a paid internship which will begin on approximately July 13, 2026,and would extend for one year from the hire date. You must be currently enrolled in school or have graduated within the previous 12 months to qualify for an internship.

  • High school diploma plus bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, graphic design, or similar field in progress 
  • Highly organized approach and strong project management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft applications 
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience 
  • Video editing experience (preferred) 

What Intern Will Learn During the Internship: 

  • How to create and execute a communications plan 
  • How to develop a communications strategy 
  • How to write articles and email communications 
  • Best practices for internal communications 
  • How to gather analytics and measure engagement & reach 
  • How to manage multiple digital channels 
  • How to consult as a business partner to solve problems and reach intended audiences 
  • How to manage multiple projects at once 
  • How to copyedit using Chicago Style Manual 
  • How to use tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft SharePoint, etc. 

Assist Global Workforce Communication Manager with creation of communication campaigns to the global Church workforce, including: 

  • Writing copy and sourcing images for email campaigns 
  • Creating intranet site articles 
  • Managing content and schedules for digital signage 
  • Maintain the Human Resource Department intranet page 
  • Maintain a workforce communication calendar 
  • Create communications analytic reports 
  • Design digital and print assets 
  • Provide minor video editing, as needed 
  • Assist in other special projects, as assigned
