Who are we looking for?   

At GHD we are looking for a new Project Management Intern to join the Decom & Demolition team at our Detroit, MI office. An entrylevel project management role supporting basic project administration and coordination tasks. Assists with routine documentation, reporting, and project support tasks while learning core project management processes and tools. Supports project teams by contributing to timely documentation and assisting with coordination and communication requirements. Builds foundational project management knowledge and develops skills required for advancement into project support roles.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Administration: Produce, update, and provide best practice support on a wide range of Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems.
  • Business Meetings/Events Arrangement: Arrange venues, equipment, catering, accommodations, and travel for participants arriving from various locations to ensure the smooth running of medium-scale events.
  • Client & Customer Management (Internal): Help manage internal clients by carrying out standard activities and providing support to others.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
  • Document Management: Create a local document management system for an office or department.
  • External Communications: Use the external communications system to access and supply specific information.
  • Knowledge Management System: Use the knowledge management system to access specific information.
  • Project Management: Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
