Job Summary
We are looking for an engaging, detail oriented person to join our HR team as a Recruiting Coordinator! The person in this role will perform support functions to aid in recruiting and hiring processes for a continuously growing and changing workforce. This position reports directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager and supports other HR team members when needed. This is a confidential employee, must be able to operate in a confidential, supportive work environment. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Some travel may be required for careers events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs tasks associated with hiring and selection process, including performing phone screens, coordinating and conducting interviews, assisting managers with selection process, and extending offers. Assists with conducting background checks, scheduling screenings, and onboarding tasks as needed.
Reviews job applications and communicates with managers and applicants to gauge interest.
Posts job openings to applicable sites and sends job posting notifications as needed.
Manages job postings and applicant flow within electronic Applicant Tracking System and new hire activity in electronic Onboarding system.
Registers, attends, and/or coordinates attendance at various careers outreach events with schools, colleges, community organizations, and other applicable entities.
Assists with recruitment marketing by communicating job posting and content needs with NEBCO Marketing team.
Updates and maintains related company pages, as needed, to ensure job postings and other content are appearing accurately and is current.
Updates existing job descriptions for accuracy and assists with creation of new job descriptions.
Supports recruiting plan for regional colleges, universities, trade schools and job fairs and attends as NEBCO representative at related career fairs, meetings, and events.
Assists with managing and growing the company internship program, including coordination of related intern events.
Provides support or serves as backup for New Employee Orientation.
Maintains applicable documentation such as staffing agency contracts, candidate information, interview notes, etc.
Works effectively with employees at all levels of the organization in a professional, confidential and sensitive manner.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate's Degree or Certification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field; and
  • 1 year of support experience in recruiting, human resources, or related field; or
  • a combination of education and experience that supports and exhibits competence to perform key HR functions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid driver's license.

Other Qualifications:
  • Recruitment/selection experience and knowledge are extremely helpful.
  • Sufficient experience and understanding of current federal, state, local, and labor laws to be able to interpret and guide others as well as protect and monitor company actions/needs ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Human Resource Information Management Systems.
  • Multiple site experience is beneficial to understand the complexity of dealing with multiple companies/departments under the corporate umbrella.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must have working knowledge of Human Resource Information Management systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

  • Must be comfortable in a role with a variety of challenges that require discretionary judgment and solid understanding of people, issues and impact.
  • Must be able to take direction and perform required tasks independently.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
