What You'll Do

As our Staffing Coordinator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our facility by ensuring appropriate staffing coverage while supporting efficient workforce management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules.

  • Coordinate staffing assignments for nursing and direct care staff to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

  • Fill open shifts by communicating with employees and working closely with department leaders.

  • Monitor overtime, agency utilization, and staffing trends to support operational and budgetary goals.

  • Maintain accurate staffing records and scheduling documentation.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Nursing Leadership, Payroll, and Department Managers to ensure smooth staffing operations.

  • Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding coordination for new hires.

  • Manage employee call-offs, schedule changes, PTO requests, and shift swaps while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to employees and leadership.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

  • Two (2) years of experience in staffing, scheduling, workforce management, healthcare staffing, or budget management may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, hospital, or assisted living setting is strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
