Join Our Team as a Training & Development Manager

The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead employee learning, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives across the Town.

What You Will Do

As the Training & Development Manager, you will help shape the employee experience and strengthen our organization by:

  • Developing and leading comprehensive Townwide training, workforce development, and organizational development programs;
  • Designing and personally delivering engaging training programs, workshops, and leadership development opportunities for employees at all levels of the organization;
  • Assessing employee and organizational development needs and creating practical learning solutions that support Town priorities;
  • Leading supervisory and leadership development programs that strengthen the skills and effectiveness of current and emerging leaders;
  • Administering the Townwide performance management program and providing guidance and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding employee performance and development;
  • Coordinating employee engagement and recognition initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and employee connection;
  • Providing initial employee relations consultation, coaching, and guidance to employees and supervisors; and
  • Using feedback, performance measures, and workforce data to evaluate programs, identify trends, and continuously improve employee development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in training and development, organizational development, human resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience designing and personally delivering employee, supervisory, or leadership development programs
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and relationship-building abilities
