Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for Workday, technology, and HR processes? We're seeking an HRIS Manager, Workday to join our client's team in Ft Lauderdale, FL, where you'll blend strategic project leadership with hands-on technical expertise to optimize our Workday environment. This hybrid role is integral in leading Workday implementations and release management while ensuring accurate payroll, time tracking, job costing, and system configuration—contributing to the company's overall efficiency and success.


Key Responsibilities:


Workday Project Leadership & Release Management:

  • Own the Workday release calendar and cutover, coordinating previews, regression testing, and production deployment
  • Drive Workday projects end-to-end from discovery through go-live and stabilization with clear scope, timeline, risks, and status communications
  • Run structured governance: intake, prioritization, backlog, change control, and release management
  • Plan and execute cyclical processes such as payroll, performance review, and bonus cycles
  • Oversee data quality and compliance, including testing strategy, validation, and audit readiness

Workday Configuration & System Administration:

  • Configure Workday for payroll, time tracking, projects, and general ledger interface
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR, HRIS, Accounting, and Finance teams to understand business needs and manage Workday implementations
  • Assess requirements, provide strategic recommendations, and design user-friendly solutions
  • Lead system testing for upgrades, patches, and new Workday releases
  • Conduct regression testing and implement improvements to ensure alignment with business objectives

Job Costing Integration & Data Integrity:

  • Ensure accurate job costing for construction and solar projects through coordination with financial controllers and payroll administrators
  • Lead Workday integrations across payroll, time, and downstream systems, partnering with HRIS analysts and solution architects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data integrity
  • Implement and troubleshoot system integrations, particularly with payroll and benefits vendors

User Training, Reporting & Experience:

  • Train internal team members and end-users on new processes and functionalities
  • Plan and lead UAT, training, and enablement to ensure measurable adoption
  • Create, edit, and prepare reports and dashboards in collaboration with Accounting, Payroll, and HR teams
  • Enhance employee experience by conducting user sessions and collecting feedback
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HR and Payroll processes

Team Member Support Governance:

  • Track, monitor, and resolve payroll, absence, time tracking, and job costing cases effectively
  • Collaborate with business process owners on complex or high-priority cases
  • Monitor SLA compliance and recommend corrective actions to meet performance targets
  • Define and maintain KPIs to evaluate service effectiveness
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into service performance

Vendor Management & Compliance:

  • Manage vendors and external partners to deliver on outcomes, SLAs, and budget
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external vendors, ensuring alignment with construction timelines and workforce management
  • Support audits, certifications, and compliance requirements

Documentation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain documentation for process maps, configuration decisions, integrations, and SOPs
  • Monitor post-launch health, report KPIs, and drive continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented approach to data analysis and continuous system improvement


Requirements:

  • 5+ years in HRIS or enterprise applications project management, including 3+ years focused on Workday
  • Proven delivery of Workday initiatives across multiple modules and integrations
  • Proficient in configuring Workday for payroll, time tracking, projects, and general ledger interface
  • Strong technical background in finance and accounting, especially in Workday modules like payroll, absence, and time tracking
  • Thorough understanding of HR processes, payroll systems, and accounting principles
  • Experience with agile or hybrid delivery and release cycles
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills
  • Analytical mindset with strength in testing, data validation, and metrics
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
  • Cross-functional leadership capable of leading across departments to ensure accurate time tracking and payroll processes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
