Job Description: WORKDAY ADMINISTRATOR Position Summary The Workday Administrator will serve as the primary internal technical steward for our global workforce management platform. As our internal system expert, you will act as the "first line of defense" for the platform. You will be responsible for assessing incoming requests from the HR and business teams, implementing configurations and enhancements within your capacity, and seamlessly escalating and collaborating with the implementation vendor to implement more complex technical solutions.

Location & Reporting Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida (On-site 5 days a week) Reports to: VP of Human Resources

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Maintenance & Administration
  • Oversee day-to-day administration of the HRIS platform (e.g., Workday)
  • Manage user security roles, system access permissions, and data privacy compliance.
  • Audit data regularly to ensure high standards of accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all HR modules.
  • Serve as the primary internal lead and bridge between our business teams and our implementation partner.
  • Collaborate with the implementation partner to translate internal business requirements into effective system solutions during implementation and post-go-live.
  • Coordinate internal efforts for data migration, verification processes, and user acceptance testing during the initial deployment.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, build, and run routine and custom HR reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, compensation analysis).
  • Develop executive-level dashboards that visualize key metrics and ensure data integrity across the Foundation Data Model (FDM)
Process Improvement & Configuration
  • Configure business processes, custom fields, notifications, and workflows within the system.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance teams to identify operational inefficiencies and automate routine tasks.
  • Manage incoming Workday requests from the team through a centralized intake process, acting as the first line of defense for user support.
  • Assess requests to determine feasibility; independently configure and update business processes, calculated fields, notifications, and security settings.
  • Route complex requests, system errors, or advanced integration requirements to Topbloc, managing the change-control process and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Act as the primary System Owner for Workday governance, overseeing the end-to-end change management lifecycle for all system modifications, from initial request through internal approval and deployment.
Core System Administration
  • Administer and optimize core Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, & Learning) to meet evolving business needs.
  • Act as the primary owner of the security model, managing role-based and user-based security groups, and conducting periodic access reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Execute mass data uploads, corrections, and organizational reshuffles utilizing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).
Upgrades & Testing
  • Evaluate semi-annual or periodic software release updates, test new functionalities, and implement enhancements.
  • Partner with external vendors or implementation consultants as needed for complex integrations or module expansions.
Qualifications & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3-5 years of hands‑on experience administering and configuring Workday HCM.

Technical Workday Skills
  • Strong expertise in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix/Composite Reports, and Dashboards.
  • Hands‑on experience with Workday Security administration (Role-Based & User-Based security).
  • Proven proficiency in building and running mass data loads via EIBs.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday Business Process Framework (BPF).
Core Competencies
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex Workday concepts clearly to non-technical HR partners.
  • Strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive HR data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Pro Certification (e.g., HCM, Report Writer, Security, or Business Processes).
  • Experience with Workday Studio or web services (REST/SOAP API).
  • Exposure to Workday Adaptive Planning or Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Manage Workday's semi-annual feature releases by reviewing release notes, performing regression testing in Sandbox environments, and deploying new features.
