Job description

Summary
The Sr Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions to meet the organization's business requirements. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and deploy scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures. The Sr Systems Engineer will ensure the integration of Azure services with existing systems and lead the migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud.
Additionally, the Sr Systems Engineer's role includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Azure services, tools, and best practices. This individual will also oversee the development of policies and procedures for cloud resource management, security, and compliance. They are responsible for working with technical teams to monitor performance, optimize costs, ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and design cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide expert guidance on Azure solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of infrastructure solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for Azure solutions, including identity management and data protection.
  • Lead the implementation of Azure solutions, ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to Azure solutions in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and trends and continuously improve solutions and processes.
  • Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.
  • Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Other specified duties as assigned.

Skills
  • Proficiency in designing cloud and hybrid solutions, advising stakeholders, and translating business requirements into designs that align with the Azure Well-Architected Framework
  • Ability to obtain AZ-104, AZ-305 within 6 months accepting position.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, CIS, engineering preferred.
  • 7 years of equivalent work experience in technical operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.

Physical Requirements
The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position is sedentary, involving sitting most of the workday; however, the position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required. Position requires lifting and/or the exerting of up to 10 pounds of force.
Compensation & Benefits
The Sr Systems Engineer position pays a minimum of $115,000 annually.
