Job Summary:
Vantage Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer II to create and manage technical documentation. The role involves explaining complex scientific and technical ideas in simple language and collaborating with engineers to establish specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Shall explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
• Shall meet with engineers to establish technical specifications.
• Shall study technical drawings, specifications, and mockups.
• Shall create technical documentation for a variety of audiences.
• Shall gather and research information for use in technical documentation.
• Shall prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with technical documentation
• Shall proofread technical documentation.
• Shall follow the document development life cycle.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Personnel must possess a final DoD granted SECRET security clearance
• Master’s degree; Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; Associate degree with 10 years; High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience
• Minimum B.Sc., Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Shall explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
• Shall meet with engineers to establish technical specifications.
• Shall study technical drawings, specifications, and mockups.
• Shall create technical documentation for a variety of audiences.
• Shall gather and research information for use in technical documentation.
• Shall prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with technical documentation
