The Wicker Wellness Center is seeking creative and reliable students to support our outreach and engagement efforts. This position offers an opportunity to develop marketing and communication skills while promoting health and wellness on campus.
Department: Counseling Center
Location: Wicker Wellness Center
Supervisor: Amanda Tommell-Sandy
Work available: Days
Rate of pay: $9.70/hr
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Develop creative and engaging content for the Wicker Wellness Center's social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook.
  • Support staff in creating educational materials and health promotion campaigns that resonate with the Union College student body.
  • Assist in the planning, promotion and execution of on-campus wellness events and workshops.
  • Design flyers, posters and digital content using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Take photos and videos at events for use in future marketing materials.
  • Support general administrative tasks of the Wicker Wellness Center as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Experience with or interest in marketing, design, health promotion, and event planning is preferred.
  • Creative, attentive to detail and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to complete tasks both in the office and remotely depending on the weekly schedule and access to in office work space.
  • Hold the confidential information of Union College and the Wicker Wellness Center in trust and confidence.
  • Do not use or disclose it or any embodiment thereof, directly or indirectly, except as may be necessary in the performance of duties for Union College.
  • Understand that disclosure could be highly damaging to Union College, its donors, and others.
  • Do not remove materials containing confidential information from the Wicker Wellness Center: Health Services and Counseling Center unless authorized to do so in writing by a supervisor.
