Job Title: Wellness Center Receptionist Work Study
Location: Ellsworth Community College
Department: DHFAC
Reports To: Head Softball Coach
Semester: Fall 2026
Number of Openings: 10
Job Classification: Student, non-exempt, hourly timesheet
Rate of Pay: $9.00/hour
Summary: The purpose of this position is to handle front office reception and administration duties including greeting students and community patrons, answering phones, handling membership inquires, and maintaining a safe, enjoyable environment. The length of employment is routinely the academic year (fall and spring terms); however. some work may be performed during the summer as needed
Job Duties:
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures of the wellness center.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and facility.
  • Handle financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Supervise individuals using the wellness center to ensure safety and compliance with policies.
  • Utilize computer skills to manage scheduling, record keeping, and communication tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries or concerns promptly.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience as a wellness center receptionist or similar front desk role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable and able to manage opening and closing responsibilities independently.
  • Basic financial handling and cash management skills.
  • Ability to supervise individuals and maintain a safe facility environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including scheduling and communication software.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.

Education and Experience: HS diploma or equivalent
