About the Role
The Re-Mill Technician is responsible for operating material handling and processing equipment in the re-mill area. This role ensures proper handling of products and supplies, maintains equipment and sanitation standards, and follows all GMP and safety procedures to meet quality and operational expectations.
What You'll Do
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment with limited supervision to receive, move, store, and ship products and supplies in the re-mill area
  • Participate in sanitation tasks for assigned areas
  • Perform and document daily safety and preventative maintenance checks on equipment prior to use
  • Use appropriate equipment, including push/pull forklifts, side shift, triple-stage forklifts, stretch wrappers, and scissor lifts, to support production and warehouse demands
  • Properly load trailers to prevent overweight axles
  • Correctly and efficiently perform put-away functions, placing pallets or supplies in designated storage areas according to company specifications or direction from Supervisor/Lead/Manager
  • Monitor product quality during movement and notify Supervisor/Lead of damaged or non-conforming products
  • Maintain equipment, work areas, and assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner according to safety and sanitation procedures
  • Follow GMP procedures and company policies to ensure accurate labeling and documentation of products

What We're Looking For
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse or processing equipment preferred
  • Ability to safely handle equipment and complete the company Forklift Certification program
  • Strong hand/eye coordination, physical strength, and ability to perform routine and heavy manual tasks
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in areas with machinery and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to walk and stand approximately 90% of the time
  • Ability to lift and handle objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts
