Supporting continuous improvement activities to maximize equipment uptime and operational performance.Knowledge and Skills (Education):Post-Secondary Education - Industrial Maintenance Technician Diploma, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics or Equivalent Minimum 3-5 years of experience – or appropriate combination of education and experience Working knowledge of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and automated material handling systems preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, power transmission systems, conveyors and pneumatics Ability to work independently and problem solve Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systemsMajor Accountabilities:Perform preventive maintenance on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) Troubleshoot and repair AMR mechanical systems Maintain charging stations and docking systems Inspect, adjust and replace wheels, bearings, belts, chains and gearboxes Maintain conveyors and automated material handling equipment Perform equipment inspections and complete maintenance work orders Troubleshoot and repair equipment components Support installation, commissioning and modification of AMR systems Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities Ensure compliance with codes, standards and legislation: Environmental Legislation, and Occupational Health and Safety Act Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookDecision Making and Authority:Quantities measurables:Review and troubleshoot downtime issues.Work with Production and Quality to help reduce cycle times.Working Conditions:100% plant floor (PPE required)Frequent requirement of handling heavy operation equipmentEffort/Physical DemandsConstant communication with employees, peers, and managementOvertime as requiredHealth and Safety ResponsibilitiesMust work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the CompanyOther Duties:This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities required for this job.
