Job description

Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid)

ERGO NEXT's mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive. We're doing that by building the only technology-led, full-stack provider of small business insurance in the industry, taking on the entire value chain and transforming the customer experience.

Simply put, wherever you find small businesses, you'll find ERGO NEXT.

Since 2016, we've helped hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States get fast, customized and affordable coverage. We're backed by industry leaders in insurance and tech, and we still have room to grow — that's where you come in.

We're building a world-class, future-ready talent engine - and this role sits at the heart of that ambition. As Global Senior Manager of Learning & Development, you'll own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of global learning strategies that sharpen technical skills and accelerate organizational transformation. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution: you'll build scalable programs, facilitate training directly, partner with leaders across the business, and champion our AI enablement agenda. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a boardroom conversation about capability strategy and in front of a room running an engaging workshop.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and execution of ERGO | NEXT's enterprise AI enablement strategy- building capability through a clear AI skills framework, persona-based learning paths, and applied, use-case-driven experiences tied to real work outcomes
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify current and future technical learning needs across the organization
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate a range of learning solutions- including workshops, self-directed courses, mentoring programs, and peer learning forums
  • Facilitate workshops, virtual and in-person training sessions, and onboarding programs focused on technology and digital competencies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align learning initiatives with business priorities and technology roadmaps
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure training drives performance, consistency, and culture across all locations
  • Build and maintain clear metrics and dashboards to track learning effectiveness, adoption, and business impact globally
  • Stay current on trends in L&D, AI enablement, and skills-based organization design
  • Ensure all learning content meets best practices for quality and accessibility
  • Coach subject matter experts (SMEs) to become more effective trainers

What We Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with meaningful exposure to technical or digital training
  • 2+ years of experience managing global teams across multiple time zones and geographies
  • Proven ability to operate at both the strategic and hands-on levels-from building long-term learning frameworks to personally designing and delivering programs
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working with global teams
  • Solid understanding of modern learning technologies, frameworks, and instructional design methodologies
  • Ability to confidently deliver training and facilitate learning in English
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Flexibility to accommodate meetings across global time zones as needed
  • Background in a technology-driven environment, SaaS, IT, digital transformation, or similar

Preferred

  • Experience with Lessonly
  • Certifications in instructional design or learning technologies (ATD, CPTD, CIPD, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, or software development tools
