What You Will Do:
  • We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement and manage scalable, secure and resilient cloud architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Design end-to-end AWS cloud infrastructure solutions to support enterprise applications, data platforms, and business critical services. Create high-availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region strategies.
  • Develop migration strategies for transitioning on-premises workloads to AWS. Contribute to cloud strategy and technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee deployment of Infrastructure as code (IaC)using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or CDK. Establish and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline software deployment and infrastructure updates.
  • Ensure observability, monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray or third-party tools. Design architecture that meets security, governance, and regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2 etc.) as applicable.
  • Implement IAM best practices, encryption strategies, and secure networking.
  • Partner with developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet mission-critical needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending new solutions to enhance our capabilities.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field. Additional Four (4) expedience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum Six (6)years of prior relevant experience in IT infrastructure, with atleast Five (5) years in AWS cloud architecture , DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
  • Expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of networking (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, load balancing).
  • Hands on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architecture.
  • Owns policy for access roles, change management, ops workflows, code standards, compliance enforcement, high level infra and tooling decisions, etc.
  • Ensures infra budget controls. Owns policy for internal threat monitoring aka "watching the watchers".
  • Ownership of AWS services like ControlTower, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Service Catalog, AWS SecurityHub, AWS CloudTrail, Github Organization-Level Admin.
  • Expertise in AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation, WorkSpaces, Snowball).
  • Strong development background in Python (Boto3), Bash, SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform, GitLab CI, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate, mentor, help, and support other team members, as needed to solve complex operational and reliability problems.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
