Job Purpose

The CTE Quality Assurance Liaison is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic implementation, oversight, and effectiveness of CTE programs in Oakmont Education schools that are designed to re-engage students who have left the educational system before completion. The CTE Quality Assurance Liaison will work collaboratively with Oakmont Education Implementation team, CTE staff, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure fidelity to the CTE model, enhancing the educational outcomes and future opportunities for our students.


Duties and Responsibilities


Assist School Directors in the hiring of CTE Teachers to fill positions with emphasis on screening resumes to ensure candidates meet the minimum requirements for the position.

Ensure that all CTE-26 Applications are renewed in a timely manner, including submission of any new CTE Pathways recommended and approved by the Oakmont Leadership Team.

Assist CTE Teachers in ways to participate and strengthen CTE recruitment efforts for their CTE Pathway

Ensure all CTE Teachers are properly implementing the Oakmont CTE Model with emphasis on following the CTE schedule, student participation, securing Work-Based Learning placements and proper & timely documentation of Progress Trackers.

Monitor documentation of CTE data (Progress Trackers & Placement Trackers) to identify outliers or trends that could be emblematic of problems.

Monitor documentation of Postsecondary placement data (placement information, supporting documentation, and completion of Good, Promising, and Other Worksheets) to identify outliers or trends that could be emblematic of problems.

Conduct routine informal observations of CTE classroom practices and provide feedback to appropriate regional DOR Executive Director

Assist in the identification, development, and execution of community partners who will provide Work-Based Learning Opportunities, Participate on Workforce Advisory Committees, and establish pipelines to employment opportunities for CTE graduates.

Ensure the proper scheduling, implementation, and documentation of Regional Workforce Advisory Committee meetings.

Ensure the proper scheduling, implementation, participation, and documentation of Pathway Meetings to ensure proper communication of Best Practices/Problem Solving Strategies for each pathway.ย 

Monitor and facilitate partnerships with WIOA agencies to ensure timely enrollment of eligible students for available slots, proper placement of Subsidized Work Experience locations, and ultimately ensuring students receive checks as outlined in partnership agreements.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

Necessary and desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Demonstrated success in developing partnerships to promote CTE growth.

Familiarity with current trends and challenges in CTE with special emphasis using data for continuous quality improvement.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in education, or a related field or;

An endorsement, license, or postsecondary credential in CTE or Workforce Development:

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in education or administration of CTE/Workforce Development programs with significant leadership experience in dropout recovery, alternative education, or similar programs.
