Mustang Cat is seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day facility operations, general maintenance, and general site upkeep. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.
This is a non-technical, hands-on role focused on general maintenance, facility support, and operations assistance across the site.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while supporting multiple departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Upkeep
  • Address minor facility issues including clogged toilets, light bulb replacement, and ceiling tile repairs
  • Change air and water filters as needed
  • Assist with basic equipment support (e.g., air dryer installs and similar tasks)
  • Handle general maintenance needs such as hanging pictures and minor repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking lots and facility grounds (including sweeping for nails and hazards)
  • Respond to routine facility-related issues such as plumbing clogs or minor sanitation concerns

Vendor & Site Support
  • Escort and assist vendors while onsite
  • Support coordination and execution of vendor work
  • Assist with onsite projects and general maintenance work

Operations & Errands
  • Perform company errands including supply pickups, Sam's Club runs, and water deliveries
  • Support company events (e.g., Rodeo and other offsite or onsite events) with deliveries and logistics
  • Transport materials, documents, and equipment between locations as needed
  • Manage and maintain company pool vehicles (fueling, cleanliness, general upkeep)
  • Conduct fence line checks and support basic site security awareness

Administrative & Business Support
  • Assist with accounting-related tasks such as check runs and cash pickups
  • Handle P.O. Box payments and mail-related errands
  • Support internal departments with miscellaneous operational needs

Daily Site Operations
  • Open facility by turning on lights and preparing the site for daily operations
  • Maintain organization of supplies and assist with inventory-related pickups

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, general maintenance, or general labor is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely
  • Strong reliability and self-motivation
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and standing
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to handle physically demanding and sometimes unpleasant tasks
