What are wolf packs?

A wolf pack is a social group of wolves that typically consists of an alpha pair (the breeding male and female), their offspring, and sometimes a few other related or unrelated wolves. Packs are organized hierarchically, with the alpha pair leading and making decisions for the group. Wolves in a pack cooperate in hunting, raising pups, and defending their territory. Living in packs increases their chances of survival by allowing them to tackle larger prey and protect each other.
