Career Services Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Career Services Supervisor is responsible for leading the career services team, ensuring compliance with WIOA regulations, and achieving successful training and employment outcomes for job seekers. The Career Services Supervisor develops strategic plans, coordinates with the job development team, and maintains relationships with stakeholders.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the career services team, including career advisors and intake specialists, ensuring compliance with WIOA regulations and individual performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review program progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to WIOA service delivery requirements and participant outcome goals.
  • Coordinate with business services and training providers to align career services with in-demand industries, ensuring training programs meet WIOA’s sector-based employment priorities.
  • Provide professional development coaching for staff to enhance knowledge of WIOA regulations, labor market trends, and workforce best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve WIOA performance indicators, including employment retention, median earnings, credential attainment, and measurable skills gains.
  • Coordinate job placement and training activities to support participant success, ensuring services align with WIOA priority populations, including dislocated workers, youth, and individuals with barriers to employment.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance using WIOA-required data tracking systems, making data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in social service settings with diverse populations, including hard-to-serve populations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a line staff.
  • Successful experience working with the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking; ability to operationalize department workflows and staffing responsibilities.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize information from a wide variety of people and sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel required (pivot tables and report building, etc.). Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Google Gemini is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is expected.
