Program Manager, Adult Day Services
Columbus, OH | Full-Time, Exempt

Are you a passionate leader who thrives on helping others succeed? At Goodwill Columbus, our Program Manager, Adult Day Services leads a team dedicated to providing person-centered supports that help individuals with developmental disabilities build skills, engage in their communities, and achieve their goals.
This role combines staff leadership, program oversight, compliance, and relationship building to ensure high-quality services and exceptional participant outcomes.
Pay, Schedule & Location
  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to meet program needs
  • Columbus, OH
  • Driving required

What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Staff Development
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct support staff
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Ensure staffing coverage and completion of required training
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and participant-focused team culture

Program Management & Participant Support
  • Develop, implement, and oversee Individual Plans (IPs)
  • Partner with participants, families, and service teams to establish meaningful goals
  • Ensure services are person-centered, compliant, and aligned with participant needs
  • Monitor progress and adjust supports to promote successful outcomes

Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Review documentation, case notes, and service records for compliance and quality
  • Manage incident reporting and follow-up activities
  • Identify training needs and implement corrective action when necessary
  • Monitor program performance and support continuous improvement efforts

Community & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with families, providers, service coordinators, and community partners
  • Serve as a liaison between Goodwill Columbus and external agencies
  • Support referral development and program growth
  • Promote community engagement and inclusion opportunities for participants

Administrative & Financial Oversight
  • Maintain accurate records and program documentation
  • Manage participant funds and program-related financial responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in social services, developmental disabilities services, program management, or a related field
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Certifications & Requirements
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and personal automobile insurance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, CITIES, Adult Services, and other required certifications

Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities services and applicable regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with person-centered planning and behavioral supports
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems

Work Environment
  • Office, program, and community-based settings
  • Moderate noise levels
  • Occasional exposure to bodily fluids, pets, and tobacco smoke

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and communicate throughout the workday
  • Ability to provide physical assistance to participants as needed
  • Ability to lift and support up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
