We are a unique facility,combining a fully functioning winery with intimate concerts, food & wineclasses, private events in a variety of configurations, and fine dining. Wehave created a compelling mix for our sophisticated clientele of foodies, andactive cultural patrons-bringing the wine country experience to the middle of alarge city.


Position Summary
The Retail WineAssociate is responsible for providing exceptional guest service experiences toall clientele that have interactions with City Winery and drives retailsales. This individual serves as a point of contact at the Retail Wine Counterfor purposes of general guest service, retail sales, wine club sales, winerytours, and City Winery merchandise sales.


Overview of Responsibilities

Manage all correspondence with guests via phone andemail in relation to retail wine and merchandise sales

Assist guests with retail wine and merchandiseselection

Drive Wine Club member sign-ups and manage after salesservice, including updating Resy, master wine club spreadsheet, and monthlymember pick up

Drive retail wine sales by offering weekly onsitetastings

Help educate front of house staff on retail wine andmerchandise

Have a proficient understanding of our POS andinventory software (Toast, Houseager, Beveager), and ensure that the retailscreen is accurate and current

Coordinate with Retail Wine Director on all seasonalwine and merchandise promotions

Oversee organization, layout and inventory of theonsite retail shelves

Always maintain organized and presentable salesfloor

Conduct building and winery tours for interestedguests

All otherreasonably assigned duties, tasks, projects, implementations, as per businessneed

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum1-year prior experience in a retail wine setting, or customer service role in ahospitality setting

Understandingof the major wine varietals, tasting notes, wine service and wine production

Exceptionalhospitality and guest service skills

Polishedpresentation

Proficienttyping and computer skills

Aptitude inresolving issues with a customer-focused orientation

Effectivecommunication skills both written and verbal

Ability towork both independently and in a team environment

Ability towork a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Must befluently literate in English including ability to read, write, and communicate,conduct business related mathematics and analyze data

Must be ableto sit for extended periods of time; stand and walk regularly; occasionallylifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. when needed
