Job Description
Elluminates Software Corporation is looking for a full-time Senior VMware Administrator.This position is in support of the Department of State (DOS) as a part of the Vanguard 2025 contract. The Vanguard 2025 program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security support for the Department of State (DOS) DT program. The DT program enables the Department of State to successfully carry out its foreign policy mission by providing enterprise architecture design, engineering, operations and maintenance support services for data center services, desktop computers, servers, networks, firewalls, voice and data communications and other unique enterprise applications.
The candidate will be responsible for the development of Virtualization solutions utilizing VMWare and Storage technologies. The candidate will research, analyze, evaluate and integrate as necessary new and emerging technologies in order to find
ways to deliver a superior IT environment to the bureaus in a cost effective and secure manner. The candidate will support the continuing goal of incorporating these innovative technologies into the Department's equipment modernization program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Execute duties and responsibilities as a member of the Infrastructure team
•Integrate, and deploy VMWare IT solutions
•Rack and Stack new data center equipment
•Work with Networking team and configure virtual switching
•Provide operational engineering support to enterprise-level solutions using virtual server hosting, and Dell storage technologies.
•Provision Virtual Machines and patches to the software and hardware hosting infrastructure.
•Update system and process documentation, user guides, diagrams and SOPs
Required Qualifications
•Senior-level knowledge of VMWare and vSphere integration, and deployment.
•Knowledge or training on VMware and ESX 7.0+ deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
•Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements.
