Please note: We are only considering candidates who live in or near central Ohio.
Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
A GroupEleven Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer provides consulting and solution implementations for our key clients. This position leads multiple, simultaneous client projects as well as maintains and supports current client environments. An excellent consultant must have elevated technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network infrastructure-related issues.
  • Implement, configure, manage, and maintain Windows servers, switch stacks, and firewalls.
  • Identify and resolve complex networking issues related to connectivity, routing, and switching promptly.
  • Implement, configure, manage, and maintain Office 365 tenants.
  • Collaborate with other team members.
  • Participate in periodic on-call rotation.
  • In addition to technical implementations and issue resolution, must directly support end users. ...no task is too small.
  • Act as a point of escalation for critical incidents, providing technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures, to facilitate troubleshooting and future expansion.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, exceeding client expectations regarding timeliness and communications.

Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have a high technical proficiency in all (or most) of the following topics/solutions:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • Office 365 Hosted Exchange
    • Microsoft Intune
    • ESXi / vSphere
    • Network switching and routing (including at least VLAN, STP, and Layer 3 functions)
    • Firewalling (Layer 3/4/7 vs. NGFW)
    • Scripting (Powershell preferred)
    • Software Repackaging
    • Wireless configuration
    • 802.1x
    • VPN solutions
  • Standout by having these technical skills:
    • Next-Gen firewall experience
    • Full networking stack experience
    • SonicWall experience and/or certifications
    • Microsoft Certifications
  • The ideal candidate will have client-facing consulting experience and excellent communication skills.
