About This Role:
World Group is currently looking for a systematic and collaborative person to join our family as an Infrastructure Manager for our Corporate Headquarters located in Rocky River, OH!
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all computer system infrastructure for the World Group. Ensuring all systems (on-premises and cloud) are running at their best performance with the highest uptime for business needs. Coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement IT solutions as necessary. Responsible for ensuring the security posture of infrastructure systems best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and retirement of the systems essential to the operation of World Group IT systems.
  • Ensure the continued and efficient operation of all physical IT infrastructure, including VMs, physical VM hosts, storage arrays.
  • Ensure the continued and efficient operation of any cloud infrastructure that is utilized, typically from cloud providers like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Ensure appropriate response to physical security incidents and escalates as needed. Review and forward incident reports as may be required by internal areas or other law enforcement agencies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to assist with operational support as needed.
  • Lead a team of administrators for security and infrastructure operational needs.
  • Ensure business continuity through design and maintenance of disaster recovery practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and introduction of IT 'best practices' into all areas of process, metrics, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with critical stakeholders to ensure that security issues and safety needs are addressed.
  • Develop strategies and plans to ensure adequate long-term security and operational efficiency; pro-actively anticipate new threats and security trends.
  • Research and analyze complex problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective action.
  • Primary point of escalation for service requests on all infrastructure and IT security systems. Respond to phone, email, voice mail, verbal, and Help Desk portal tickets.
  • Make recommendations for physical computing, cloud computing, and IT security needs.
  • Diagnose and remediate issues when they arise to ensure system uptime is maintained.
  • Keep track of hardware/software budgets.
  • Install and configure physical hardware as needed.

Qualifications
  • High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and administering scalable, available, and fault tolerant systems on cloud-based platforms and on-premises datacenters.
  • Understanding of networking technologies and protocols (LAN, WAN, DNS, Security, routing, VPN, email routing, SFTP)
  • Knowledge of Azure management and/or cloud computing concepts.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and related applications
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies like vSphere and ESXi, Windows Server, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtual desktop environments like Citrix XenApp and VMware Horizon.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills. Ability to communicate directly and diplomatically at various levels of leadership. Highly proficient written communication skills in use of email, written reports, and evaluations.
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, customer service, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to understand and analyze complex business problems and to make sound decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to successfully perform work responsibilities in sometimes stressful environments
  • Proficient in organization, planning, and managing objectives. Very detail oriented and possessing strong time management skills. Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities.
  • Work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to needed changes
  • Stay abreast of changes in technology.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree or higher in Information Technology or 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications in IT Security, Cloud Computing, VMware, Microsoft are a plus
