The Senior Consultant in the Hybrid Infrastructure - Cloud practice is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions that align with the organization's goals. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that the solutions are efficient, secure, and scalable. The Senior Cloud Consultant also provides technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Advise and implement cloud-based solutions using various cloud platforms and technologies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide project and technical guidance to the team.
  • Ensure that the solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for solution adoption and migration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Implement comprehensive cloud solutions aligned with business objectives, considering factors like scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure cloud solutions meet security and compliance standards including data protection, encryption, access control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert-level client collateral including architectural drawings, documentation, and implementation guides for project architecture deliverables.
  • Lead engagement teams, delegate responsibilities, and mentor fellow consultants.
  • Work within the sales process to assist in technical whiteboards, scope projects, create sales collateral, and presentations.
  • Review technical documentation and sales collateral for punctual and technical correctness.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT consulting or data center IT management or design.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure DevOps to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
  • Relevant experience surrounding Azure Backups, Azure Site Recovery, and general DR/HA best practices, or similar for other clouds.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, understand their requirements, and convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Project management skills to lead and coordinate cloud implementation projects, ensuring they stay on track and within scope.
  • At least one certification credentials such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, etc.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, and Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure core services and capabilities, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Azure Networking with 3rd party appliances.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with serverless computing architectures and services like Azure Functions.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based big data and analytics services such as SQL Data Warehouse and Databricks.
  • Experience with platform technologies such as Azure Local, Nutanix or VMware or related technologies
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.
