Title: Senior Windows SME (part time)

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 1+ year


Primary Skills: virtualization

Required skills:

Engineer must have demonstrated experience in Data Center Windows physical and virtualized server components and infrastructure services Design to include Network Security.

Must have the ability to thoroughly understand the DOL Common Operation environment (COE) and network security zones.

Demonstrated past experience with Data Center infrastructure relating to Windows AD and DNS components and virtualization technology is a must.

Ensure the quality and timeliness of the engineering related deliverables, such as preliminary design, final design, bill of materials, and implementation approach.

Have a broad technical experience and skills covering data center, network, virtualization, storage, security, and applications relative to data center communication initiatives.

Prior experience and knowledge with the DOL Data Center Active Directory and DNS infrastructure to include Network Security architecture is a plus. The ability to provide immediate engineering leadership or contributions with respect to the design and implementation of an enterprise solution.  

Provide competitive analysis to customers and resources on all Active Directory architecture and engineering technologies as well as other compelling strategies.

Leads and/or participates with the development and complete engineering solutions taking into account infrastructure, data protection, high availability, resource management, automation, disaster recovery, and application requirements.

Hands-on experience in data center Windows components with a focus on an enterprise AD, DNS and DC technology solutions

Prior hands-on Senior level experience with AD, DNS, Domain Controllers focused on an enterprise solution.

Excellent communication skills.

An IT or related degree at a BS level from an accredited college or university combined with past years of experience is desired.  

14 to 19 years of data center operations and engineering experience with a focus on Windows AD, DNS and DC infrastructure components.
