Senior Windchill Developer / Solution Architect

Client: Solidigm

Duration: 6–12 Months

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Windchill Developer / Solution Architect to design, develop, customize, integrate, and support enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using the PTC Windchill platform.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on Windchill experience with strong expertise in Windchill architecture, customization, configuration, integrations, administration, and enterprise PLM solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and enterprise application teams to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions in a complex product-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect end-to-end enterprise PLM solutions using the PTC Windchill platform.
  • Develop, customize, configure, administer, and support Windchill applications.
  • Work extensively with Windchill modules including:
    • PDMLink
    • ProjectLink
    • MPMLink
    • PartsLink
    • QMS
    • SuMa
    • Options & Variants
    • ThingWorx Navigate
  • Develop and maintain Windchill customizations using Java, J2EE, Windchill APIs, REST Services, XML, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Design and implement integrations between Windchill and enterprise applications such as SAP S/4, AEM, MSD, ThingWorx, and other business systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and effective technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development and implementation lifecycle.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development and architectural best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex Windchill application, integration, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and system administrators.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.
  • Support Windchill upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and production deployments as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10–12+ years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years of hands-on PTC Windchill development and architecture experience.
  • Strong expertise in PTC Windchill customization, configuration, integration, business administration, and system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill PDMLink and other Windchill modules.
  • Strong programming experience with Java and J2EE.
  • Strong knowledge of Windchill APIs, REST Services, XML, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience integrating Windchill with enterprise applications and external systems.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience developing reports using QML and Jasper.
  • Strong understanding of PLM processes and enterprise application architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work during PST business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the semiconductor, manufacturing, engineering, or other product-centric industries.
  • Experience with Windchill+ (SaaS) implementations.
  • Experience with Windchill migration and upgrade projects.
  • Experience with SAP S/4, AEM, MSD, and ThingWorx integrations.
  • PTC Windchill certification is a plus.

Work Location

San Jose, CA – Hybrid preferred.
Remote candidates may be considered but must be able to work PST hours.
