Title: Seasonal Worker IV - Beach Assistant Supervisor -Blue Springs Beach
Location: Lee's Summit, MO
Grade: 099NM
Salary: $17.00/hour
Job Duties: Assistant Supervisor
Job Duties:
  • Oversee daily beach operations in the absence of the Beach Supervisor, including admissions, maintenance, cleaning, customer concerns, and safety.
  • Act as a lifeguard when the Beach Supervisor is present. Ensure patron safety by actively scanning the water, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies with water rescues, CPR, and first aid.
  • Assist the Beach Supervisor with managing seasonal staff.
  • Take charge in emergencies, adhering to established protocols.
  • Ensure beach facilities are clean and stocked, inform Beach Supervisor of any maintenance needs.

Minimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must obtain Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification prior to the beach opening.
  • Ability to maintain certification-level physical and menta readiness.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are necessary.
  • Required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; work schedule will vary.
