Job Description

BryceTech has an immediate opening for a mission engineer support Space Development Agency (SDA) supporting Proliferated Warfighter System Architecture (PWSA) development.  The mission engineer integrates efforts across the SDA enterprise ensure SDA mission partners understand how the PWSA is intended to execute its missions, how requirements are translated to mission focused documents such as CONOPS and COAs and how mission outcomes are evaluated across modeling, simulation and analysis solutions coupled with real-word test data.  The candidate will provide mission centered advise to the Program Manager and/or Tranche operations director regarding translating warfighter needs into mission requirements, and defining CONOPS, COAs, etc  to support PWSA architecture development. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experience with satellite and ground segment systems and a good technical background
  • Experience with warfighter requirements and approaches to integrate warfighter requirements into a complex   complex satellite and ground segment architectures
  • Experience developing and translating CONOPS, COA’s verifying and/or validating requirements through modeling, simulation or analysis that either augments or replaces development and/or operational testing
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Individuals will support various mission engineering, policy, planning, and program management of Defense space activities. Specific tasks may include:

  • Lead in efforts to translate Warfighter needs/requests into CONOPS, OPSCON, Use Case, etc. to define the integrated capabilities of the PWSA delivers to the Warfighter
  • Engage with the WIC and Warfighters and other organizations to define specific mission sets and how the PWSA implements and executes them
  • Support the Technical Director and Front Office in external engagement
  • Supports development of CONOPS, OPSCON, use cases, and modeling and simulation capabilities to represent the appropriate mission cases
  • Performs trade studies and develops COAs for PWSA capabilities and requirements
  • Works with the Requirements Lead to perform functional analysis to create requirements for the Enterprise and for Technical Requirements Documents in support of solicitation development
  • Familiarity with Model Based Simulation Environment (MBSE) desired for representation of mission capabilities
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (i.e., Education, Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering and math
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with complex modeling, simulation and analysis tools
  • TS/SCI clearance.  
  • Strong Experience in requirements development and tracking
  • Experience in generating, integrating and translating warfighter requirements
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering and math
  • 10 years’ experience with satellite and ground system mission and architectures 
  • Experience generating warfighter requirements, CONOPS and/or COAs for DoD and or IC customers
  • Current experience with space systems
