The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y.
Jordan Health is now seeking a WIC Nutritionist who, under the guidance of the WIC Supervising Nutritionist/WIC Program Manager, is primarily responsible for providing staffing assistance in the WIC clinic to cover vacations while completing WIC eligibility and appointments for WIC participants.

Requirements
The WIC Nutritionist will ensure to:
โ€ข Enroll and continue services for eligible families with WIC services at each appointment
โ€ข Improve health outcomes for WIC eligible families
โ€ข Help maintain and increase caseload of WIC eligible families
โ€ข Increase breastfeeding rates as indicated by Breastfeeding Coordinator and work in conjunction with BF Coordinator to obtain these
โ€ข Maintain and enhance professional education/knowledge. Stay up to date on current Nutrition and Breastfeeding topics by obtaining 12 continuing education credits every year
โ€ข Maintain efficient clinic flow daily and assist other staff in needed duties
Education And Experience Required:
โ€ข Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework in nutrition
โ€ข Experience in patient counseling within a community health setting is required
โ€ข Additionally, a minimum of one year of experience in health and/or nutrition education is preferred
Licenses And Certifications Required:
โ€ข American Dietetic Association status as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor preferred
โ€ข BLS through the American Heart association
โ€ข NYS Infection Control Certificate
Special Skills, Knowledge Required:
โ€ข Maternal, infant and childhood nutrition and health education
โ€ข Clear written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Working well with a diverse population
โ€ข Being sensitive to the cultural needs of the WIC population
