As a retail clerk, you’ll be surrounded by the best of fresh ingredients, delicious bagels, and incredible people. At Western Bagel you aren't just a number, you're family.

You will service customers, handle money, and be the face of our bakery.


Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Greets and interacts with customers
  • Works with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment
  • Takes all customer orders clearly and communicates with other staff when needed
  • Assembles all food orders promptly according to recipe guidelines and standards
    • Repeats all orders to customers to ensure accuracy and special requests
  • Operates Cash Register
    • Accept customer payment
    • Gives adequate change
    • Communicates voids with management
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
  • Performs Sandwich Bar Preparation – Slicing Meat, Cheese and Vegetables
    • Operate a slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
    • Assists in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition
  • Prepares beverages (coffee, tea, soda, etc.)
  • Stocks bagels, cream cheese, and beverages in the retail area
  • Works in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations; achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Stand
