Job description

A wonderful family on the Upper West Side is seeking an experienced, professional Full-Time Nanny to join their childcare team. The family has four children (ages 8, 6, 5, and 1) and already employs a second nanny, so they're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively while also being confident taking initiative on their own. Three older children are in school during the week full-time. The youngest (1-year-old) will be in school from 9am to about 3pm starting in January. So the baby-focused daytime hours are a feature of this fall, and the role shifts further toward the after-school/team rhythm from the new year.

They are hoping to find a career nanny who is warm, organized, and genuinely enjoys creating a structured, educational environment for children. The right candidate is someone who loves staying busy, communicates well, and is looking for a long-term position with a family that truly values their children's caregivers!

Schedule:

  • Full-Time position based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan
  • Monday–Thursday: 12:00pm–7:00pm or 1:00pm–8:00pm
  • Friday: Approximately 7:00am–6:00pm
  • 45 hours per week, with some flexibility for the right candidate
  • Start date: ASAP, with an ideal overlap before August 28
  • Long-term opportunity

  • Tag team afternoon pick-ups and extra curricular activities with other nanny
  • Primarily caring for the one-year-old during the daytime while the older children are at school
  • Assisting with child-related tasks throughout the day
  • Transporting children to extracurricular activities
  • Helping with homework and supporting after-school routines
  • Preparing children's snacks and assisting with dinner routines
  • Children's laundry, organization, and keeping children's spaces tidy during the day
  • Following the family's organized schedules and helping keep the afternoons running smoothly

  • Music experience is a plus, as the children are involved in music
  • Someone looking for a long-term role
  • Familiarity with a kosher kitchen is a plus, but also easily taught.

  • Extensive professional nanny experience
  • Background in education, teaching, or Early Childhood Education is highly preferred
  • Experience caring for multiple children
  • Warm, patient, and engaging personality
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating as part of a team
  • Passion for creating engaging, screen-free activities that encourage imaginative and cooperative play
  • Comfortable supporting homework and educational goals

  • $45+/hour DOE
  • $600/month health insurance stipend (ICHRA)
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid sick days
  • OMNY transportation reimbursement, as applicable
