As a key member of our activities department, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recreation programs, including observing resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement
  • Participate in community planning, discharge planning, and development of recreation care plans and resident assessments
  • Interview residents and family members to obtain recreation information and involve them in planning recreation programs
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and keep abreast of economic conditions to recommend adjustments in recreation programs
  • Assist in developing and implementing a quality assurance program for the recreation department and participate in facility surveys as necessary
  • Ensure that all charted recreation progress notes are informative and descriptive of services provided and indicate resident response to services
  • Arrange transportation for field trips and assist with in-room residents as needed
