Server - Full Time. This position is eligible for applicable shift pay differentials.

The Server is responsible for serving patients and employees in a cafeteria setting, ensuring timely service to maximize a positive dining experience as well as assist with general maintenance of the kitchen, dining room, and service areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and guests
  • Work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow employees, assisting when necessary
  • Check daily task sheet for assigned station and side work
  • Check station tables for settings and cleanliness, especially inspecting glass and silverware and remove and/or replace as necessary
  • Read the menu and know the selections prior to approaching the wait station.  Respond to questions about the food, if possible, if not, report the question the Chef on duty 
  • Assist in the plating and proper portion controls of some or all the following: appetizers, salads, soup, beverages and desserts for patients and guests
  • Before serving, checks meal to see that it is appetizing in appearance and presents well  
  • Demonstrate proper storage practices, including, time and date labeling, quality assurance, categorizing storage areas and stock rotation
  • Assure that condiments and supplies for next meal are readily available
  • Do special assigned cleaning jobs based on periodic schedules 
  • Clean-up and sanitation of tables, service area, dining room and kitchen as assigned
  • Monitor patients’ dietary needs and make menu suggestions accordingly
  • Monitor patients’ eating habits and report anything unusual to the FSD 
  • Wear proper and clean uniform as directed by Wellbridge
  • Remove trash as required 
  • Positivity and a sense of urgency area must. An up-beat attitude is necessary, and a patient-first mind state is mandatory.
  • Maintain a safe and caring environment, delivering care in a culturally sensitive manner and consistent with Wellbridge mission, vision and values

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

For patient care needs, this is an on-site role. Read and understand directions and menus. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following food safety standards and operate kitchen equipment. Position self to prepare and maintain kitchen, stockroom(s), and meals as directed. Consistently moves and carries food orders and supplies up to 30lbs without assistance. Push, pull cleaning equipment daily. The majority of each work shift is in a standing position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, displaying a friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be willing to work as a team  
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual English/Spanish preferred
