Job description

What you will do:
Design airplane repairs and modifications, engineering analysis and substantiation for approval. This position will have in-depth knowledge and input on drawings, reports, specifications and other technical documents in support of certification and outside customer activities, inter-company airlines and internal departments such as Component Repair and Overhaul, Heavy and Line Maintenance.
This position requires project management skills, frequent customer contact and coordination, occasional on-call operational and project support
What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field OR Associate degree in engineering or related field and 2 years airline, OEM, MRO experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar desktop drafting application
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Job Skills:
  • Familiar with FAA / EASA Airworthiness Directives, Boeing / Airbus Service Bulletins
  • MBA or advanced degree in area of specialization
  • FAA DER
  • Management Experience or Training
  • Familiar with 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 43, 135 and 145
  • Experience with process automation or computer programming

Physical Skills:
  • Work in adverse weather
  • Stand, sit or work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Climbing stairs and ladders as needed
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl as required
  • Wear PPE and hearing protection as required
  • Occasional lifting of various weights up to 50 lbs.
