Job description

MDA Consulting Engineers, PLLC is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Designer to join our team in Western New York. We welcome applications from recent graduates as well as experienced engineers looking to take on a diverse range of municipal and private infrastructure projects.

Our team works on water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, site development, transportation, floodplain management, and municipal infrastructure projects. As a growing consulting firm, we offer the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers while gaining broad project experience from planning and design through permitting and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and permit applications.
  • Perform site visits, field investigations, and construction observations.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members.
  • Support multiple projects while meeting schedules and project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

  • Municipal water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Stormwater management and drainage design
  • Site development and permitting
  • Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
